Rachel Burns, East Office Branch Manager

July 7, 2026

With five years at Fahey Bank and a lifetime rooted in the Marion community, Rachel Burns brings energy, leadership, and a strong customer focus to her role as Branch Manager. She leads a team of more than eight universal bankers while staying actively involved in day-to-day customer interactions. Her approach blends operational knowledge with a genuine commitment to helping both her team and her customers succeed.

Ask Rachel, what motivates her, and the answer centers on one thing: helping people achieve financial success.

From assisting customers with everyday banking needs to guiding them through home equity lines of credit, improving credit scores, or growing their savings, Rachel finds value in every interaction. She focuses on making banking easier to understand, knowing that when customers feel informed, they feel confident in their decisions.

Known for her adaptability and communication skills, Rachel recognizes that every customer is different. She takes time to listen, explain concepts clearly, and tailor solutions to each person’s unique situation. Whether she is working the retail line alongside her team or sitting down one-on-one with a customer, she prioritizes clarity, patience, and responsiveness.

Rachel’s role extends beyond the branch. She actively participates in community events, seminars, and networking opportunities, reinforcing Fahey Bank’s presence and commitment to the people it serves. She also places a strong emphasis on education, both for her team and her customers, believing that knowledge is a key driver of long-term success.

She works with a wide range of customers, from individuals addressing basic banking needs to those seeking financing solutions like auto loans and home equity lines of credit. She also frequently helps customers review their accounts and identify ways to make their money grow, whether through better account structures, CDs, or digital banking tools.

For Rachel, one of the most important aspects of her role is helping people feel comfortable. Banking can be complex, and she takes pride in breaking down information in a way that makes sense, especially when introducing customers to tools like online banking. Her goal is simple. Meet people where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

Outside of the bank, Rachel stays closely connected to the Marion community she has always called home. She enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren, attending their activities, traveling, and exploring local shops and restaurants in downtown Marion.
