Kylie Eastep - River Valley Softball
May 2026- Athlete of the Month
Sebastian Lisiecki - Marion Harding Tennis
Kylie delivered an outstanding month at the plate and played a key role in one of the most memorable moments of River Valley's season. Her offensive production helped lead the Vikings through postseason play and into the program's history books.
During May, Kylie compiled a team-leading .579 batting average while recording 11 hits, six home runs, and 17 RBIs. She also drew 13 walks, many of them intentional, a sign of the respect opposing teams had for her ability to change a game with a single swing.
Her biggest moment came in the district tournament when she hit a walk-off home run that secured River Valley's first district softball championship in 25 years. That dramatic victory helped cap an impressive postseason run for the Vikings and cemented Kylie's place among the area's top softball performers.
Beyond the statistics, Kylie demonstrated the consistency, leadership, and competitive drive that make great student-athletes stand out. When River Valley needed a big play, she delivered, whether by driving in runs, reaching base, or providing the game-changing hit that helped bring home a championship.
