The November 2025 Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month for boys is Ridgedale High School's Brogan Weston for Cross Country!

Congratulations, Brogan!

Brogan has had an amazing career as a Cross-Country runner at Ridgedale. He has set the boys cross country record at a time of 15:36.21. He is a 3-time NWCC conference champion and State Qualifier finishing 13th at the 2025 State Meet with All-Ohio Honors. To say we are proud of his accomplishments is an understatement. He is a devoted young man and pushed himself daily to achieve his success in this sport.

Jordan was a key piece to our successful 2025 campaign. She missed the whole 2024 season with a torn ACL. Jordan returned this season with a new coach and instead of being shy and timid with her injury she came out being a leader for the team and letting her play lead the team throughout the season.

Kam finished the season in 1st place in the MOAC with 279 digs (476 when postseason is added in). She is 3rd in the league with aces at 62, 14th in assists (this is not typical for a libero). In the state, she is 51st in digs (all divisions). She leads her team in digs per set (6.0), digs (476), and receptions (356). Her defense allows the team to be more offensive and enables a more efficient and better choice of runs for the team. Kam was voted 1st Team MOAC and 1st Team Central District.

Beware of “Unresolved Payment” Scams Targeting Fahey Customers

A new scam is making its way into Marion and it’s hitting your mobile devices fast. Fraudsters are sending text messages pretending to be from legitimate banks, claiming there’s an “unresolved payment” or “failed transaction” that needs your attention. The message often includes a link to “verify” or “resolve” the issue.

If you receive one of these messages, do not click the link and do not respond.

What the Scam Looks Like

Customers have reported receiving text messages that say things like:

“Fahey Bank: Your recent payment could not be processed. Please click here to verify your information.”

“Unresolved transaction alert: Visit this link to confirm your account details.”

These messages may look convincing, using real-sounding language, our name, or even similar web addresses, but they are not from Fahey Bank.

How These Scammers Trick You

Scammers use SMS phishing, also known as “smishing,” to get you to click a malicious link. Once you do, they may:

Ask for your online banking login
Steal your personal or financial information
Install malware on your phone
Attempt to drain your accounts

What You Should Do

Delete the message immediately. Don’t click any links or reply.
Never share your password, PIN, or personal details over text or email.

Kam had the 1000 ^th kill in the first match of the season. She became the all-time leader in kills, surpassing 1,010 the next night. Kam had a great start to this season, scoring 102 kills (leading the MOAC) and serving 100% with 58 points in August. Her kill percentage is 59.5% and her hit percentage stood at .527 to lead the league. She led her team with 17 aces and 100% in serve receives with 31 hitting the target. Kam was 6th in hitting percentage in the OHSSA (all Divisions) at .527 and 2nd in Division 5.

EVA MORAN - RIVER VALLEY

The 2025 June Fahey Bank Girls Athlete of the Month is Eva Moran of River Valley for Track & Field!

Congratulations, Eva!

After looking forward to and preparing for the upcoming season, Eva’s season took a drastic change at an indoor meet on February 1 at Ohio Northern. Landing wrong while attempting to vault 12’ she fractured her right foot. She had surgery 4 days later and had 2 screws and a plate inserted into her ankle. The doctor told Eva she would be lucky to vault by the middle of May in time for the MOAC meet. Finally, after getting cleared for practice and several weeks of preparation, Eva was set to complete in her first meet since her injury at the Swankhouse Invitational at Upper Sandusky on April 26. Eva vaulted 11’ finishing 2nd and now had a starting point her season. Being able to clear 11’ in her first meet was a testament to her extreme hard work and dedication during rehabilitation.

In the meets to follow:

Eva won her 3rd consecutive Marion County Championship (one of her Marion County meets was canceled due to weather conditions)
She won her 4th consecutive MOAC Championship with a vault of 11’
District Runner up at 11’
And the next week placed 4th in the Regionals with a vault of 10-8, qualifying her for the fourth consecutive year for the State Track Meet

It was at State Meet, Eva’s hard work paid off in a big way. Saving her best for last, Eva cleared 12’ placing 2nd and earning All-Ohio honors for her third time while in high school. This was the first time she cleared 12’ since her injury and got her back to within an 1/2” of her personal best last season of 12’ ½”. Eva’s strong work ethic, her perseverance, and the desire to prove her doctors wrong, resulted in a season that saw her clear many more barriers than anybody could have dreamed she would have to clear to become the 2025 Division II State Runner-up in the pole vault at 12’.

SEBASTIAN LISIECKI - MARION HARDING

The 2025 May Fahey Bank Boys Athlete of the Month is Marion Harding's Sebastian Lisiecki for Tennis!

Congratulations, Sebastian!

Sebastian played first singles for nearly the entire season for the Presidents MOAC Champion Tennis Team. He had a 17-5 record at First Singles, and an 18-7 overall (including doubles matches). He helped the Presidents to a 17-4 overall match record, including 11-1 team mark in the MOAC. He was able to defeat the first singles player form each MOAC school at least once during the campaign, including MOAC Player of the Year Matt Bayes from Ontario.

Sebastian is also a member of the Presidents Golf Team and Swim Team. He is a member of Varsity H Club and the National Honor Society. He maintains a 6.2 weighted GPA and is currently 1/215 in the class of 2026.

Warning Signs:

The ATM screen looks different than usual or has an unusual delay.
A loose or sticky card slot or keypad, which may indicate a skimming or trapping device.
Your card is inserted, but the ATM fails to return it.

How to Stay Safe:

Use ATMs in well-lit, secure locations, preferably inside bank branches.

Kylee went 10-2 in the month of January.

Winning Columbus DeSales tournament for her 7th career tournament victory.
Placing 3rd at 58 team Mechanicsburg Heart of Ohio tournament, losing a close match to a State Alternate from Lebanon.
Placed 3rd at 55 team New Lexington tournament, losing a heartbreaker, but a great learning opportunity, to a very good Freshman who beat a state qualifier for the tournament victory
All 10 wins during the month of January were by pin. She scored 62 match points against her 12 opponents while only giving up 10 match points in those matches
Kylee is wrestling well and is ready to take on great competition to make it to the state tournament

After the end of January, she had a career record of 97-28 and achieved 100 career wins on February 1st to be the first female at River Vallet to achieve this mark as well as the first female in Marion County to achieve 100 wins in wrestling.

Kylee spent many evenings helping out mini–Yikes Youth wrestling program that finished up during the month of January.
